Standing Out From the Rest

An online presence is more important than ever these days! Especially for small businesses. I’m currently helping a small business owner write the content for her soon-to-be launched website.

As much as you may be tempted to simply slap some text onto a web page, and call it a “website,” there is so much more to developing a good site for your startup or small business. It takes time, energy, and commitment to produce a quality site, even if it falls into the category of being simple or basic.

Always brainstorm first before beginning and jot down your thoughts. Here are some questions to ask yourself when setting up a website:

1. What’s the purpose of my site? What message am I trying to present to my potential customers?

2. Who’s my target audience?

3. What do my competitors’ sites have to say?

4. What do I write and where do I put it?

5. What are CTAs? And where do I put them on my site?

6. Do I need to constantly be updating the content for my site?

7. Is my website content clear, creative, and consistent?

8. Has what I’ve written on my site translated to all my social media pages?

Answering these questions are necessary for you to develop a brand for yourself. Keep in mind that branding is not just for large companies and corporations. Branding is for the sole business owner and start-up as well. In addition, the more you stay true to yourself and what you want to portray to your potential customer, the better you’ll be able to stand out from the crowd.

Don’t have time or energy (or maybe even creativity) to do all this yourself? Let me help you organize the structure of your site and write the content for you. We can brainstorm together to make certain you stand out from the rest of your competitors and develop a lasting, cohesive brand to highlight just who you are.
